There are many theme museums in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Museum of History is a very famous one out of all museums in Hong Kong. Presently located at Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui, it was founded in 1975.

Lantau Island

It is a great escape from the busy and buzzing life of Hong Kong. Here you can find traditional fishing villages, monasteries, open countryside and secluded beaches.

Theme Parks

Hong Kong has two of the most famous theme parks. Hong Kong Disneyland was opened recently on the Lantau islands while the Ocean Park is being serving the tourists for more than 30 years now. Ocean Park has many roller coasters and a large aquarium. These two parks have cablecar from which you get an excellent view of the South China Sea.

Hong Kong Weather

Hong Kong has a subtropical type of climate. In winter it is cool and dry and hot and humid in the summer with heavy rains in the monsoons. The best time to visit Hong Kong is in spring i.e. between March and April and Autumn i.e. between September and November. During spring it has an average temperature of around 25°C and the climate is also not very humid. It has an unstable climate in winter with the temperatures ranging from 12 to 22°C.

Visa and Health requirements for Australians

Australians must have a valid passport, but no visa is required for a stay of up to three months. All travellers are advised to vaccinate themselves against diseases caused due to mosquito bites as dengue fever is common disease in Hong Kong.
